SUMMARY:Perinatal Mental Health Workshop: Advanced Evaluation and Management of Psychiatric Illness in Reproductive Age Women with Adria Goodness\, MN PMHNP-BC
DESCRIPTION:Please join us in-person at the MacMillan Community and Education Center Saturday November 15th from 9am-5pm. We will watch pre-recorded sessions from Advanced Evaluation and Management of Psychiatric Illness in Reproductive Age Women with Adria Goodness\, MN PMHNP-BC from 9-12pm\, take an hour break for lunch\, and complete the day with sessions from 1pm-5pm.  View the content virtually if you can’t attend in person.  \nAdria created an on-line training for the ACNM so providers across the country can learn vital education and tools to care for people experiencing perinatal mood disorders. This virtual training includes 9 sessions with the ability to earn 9.5 continuing education credits and 3.0 pharmacology credits.  \nWe will plan to watch 7 hours of the material together. Each registered participant will have access to all of the sessions until December 15\, 2025 to watch the remaining 2.5 hours of material. After viewing all of the sessions each participant can complete the post-test to receive continuing education credits and a CE certificate that attests to their advanced knowledge. \nThis event will be hosted in a conference room with chairs and desks. We will bring snacks\, balls to sit on\, yoga mats and will provide a Mediterranean lunch. \nRegister here Zeffy ticket MN ACNM Mgmt Psychiatric Illness \nMore about the educator Adria Goodness\, MN\, PMHNP-BC: \nAdria Goodness earned her degree in Midwifery and Women’s Health from Oregon Health & Science University in 2003. She practiced as a midwife for many years and experienced the challenges of caring for women with perinatal mood disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She sought additional training to care for these conditions and received her post Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing in 2011. She has since been providing psychiatric care for adults in her private practice in Portland\, Oregon\, specializing in perinatal mood disorders.    \nThis training typically costs $275\, but Adria is offering the MN ACNM a discounted rate of $175. Once you register for this event through the MN ACNM via Zeffy you will be sent a discount code to use when registering to receive the on-line content on Adria’s website. You will need to register for this event in two locations\, once on Zeffy to register for the MN ACNM event and once on Adria’s website to gain access to the course material.  \nWe are offering space\, community\, lunch and snacks to enjoy and learn this content together. However\, you could also choose to watch these sessions on your own. There will be a spot on the Zeffy site to indicate if you intend to participate in person on November 15th or on your own.

DESCRIPTION:Midwives and students: Be sure to join us in Roseville on December 8th at 6pm for our Annual Student Potluck where we mix and mingle\, celebrate our students and cover affiliate business during the most festive time of the year! \nMidwives bring a hot dish (or other item) to share and students receive a midwifery related gift as we celebrate welcoming you into our profession.  Desserts & beverages (tea & sparkling waters/juices) will be provided (FYI: alcohol is not allowed in this facility). \nSocial time from 6-630pm\, the meeting will begin at 630pm and will be held on zoom for those who can’t come in person. DESCRIPTION:Each year our affiliate hosts an interdisciplinary conference for people involved in the work of perinatal\, sexual & reproductive healthcare. The next Optimal Outcomes Conference will be held on Friday February 27th\, 2026 at the Minneapolis Marriott West. \nJoin over 200 other midwives\, students\, doulas\, nurses\, nurse practitioners\, physicans\, physician assistants\, and other reproductive healthcare advocates for a day of learning and connecting at our 12th annual conference. \nVirtual only tickets are still available!  The conference has been recorded and is available from March 6th – May 7th 2026. SUMMARY:Annual Midwife Retreat
DESCRIPTION:This event includes our quarterly affiliate business meeting and lots of fun with fellow colleagues.  Join us for our annual MN ACNM Midwife Retreat and Affiliate Member Meeting! All ACNM members\, including students\, are welcomed and encouraged to join us. \nThis event is once again being graciously hosted by our outgoing board Secretary\, Sam Manning\, at her home about 45 minutes outside of Minneapolis.  Since this is a public event\, the exact address will be sent out via ACNM Connect\, so be sure to renew your membership & read your emails!\n\nOur official affiliate member meeting will begin promptly at 1230pm (there will NOT be a virtual option) followed by poolside relaxation and connecting.  We will end the event with soundbath healing.\n\nWe’ll have a catered main dish provided by MN ACNM. We ask that everyone brings a snack or side dish to share. We will provide NA drinks or you can BYOB.\n\nPlease bring comfortable clothes for yoga\, 1-2 pillows for sound healing and swimming suits for swimming in Sam’s fabulous pool!
